The homecoming

The wait was almost over. He was due to appear any minute and Army Wife could hardly contain herself. I thought we may have to restrain her from sprinting past security to the gate to tackle him.

Amy Guy was coming in for 10 days leave from the most dangerous place on earth. Entrepreneur, College Girl and I accompanied Army Wife and Peanut to the airport for the homecoming. Peanut sported her “Welcome Home Daddy” shirt.

I was in charge of the camera…again. College Girl and Entrepreneur entertained Peanut until it was time to place her in Daddy’s arms.

Army Wife caught a glimpse of him in the crowd of passengers and literally became airborne.
