Peanut is 23 months old today. Twenty.three.months! She came to us in January of 2009 as a swaddled 4 month old when Army Wife moved home while Army Guy was deployed to Afghanistan. And I can barely remember when she wasn’t part of our lives. Army Guy returned a year later to a hostile economy, and they stayed…with us…waiting. Waiting for the National Guard to release him. Waiting for the Army to review his flight packet. Waiting to decide what path would be best.
Waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting.
During the waiting, this is what happened.
Our Peanut turned into a little girl.

What a little sweetie! You must long for and equally not wish for the day when this little family is reunited. Hope Army Guy will soon be home safely.

Thankfully he returned unharmed. Now they are waiting to find out if he’s going to flight school.

They do that, ever so quickly. Then, suddenly, they’re in school. And then they’re teenagers. How does this happen, when we don’t get any older?
She is a doll!
