Texture Tuesday is all about wise words this week. I ran across this quote and simply had to use it. I think it’s some of the wisest words I’ve every read.
Life is short. Don’t think anyone is going to argue with me on that one. But how many times do we really act like life is short? We live like we have for.ev.er. How often to we procrastinate on doing something…or worse….procrastinate when it comes to those that we profess to love most?
Not now, I’m too busy.
Not now, I’m too tired.
Not now, I’ve got too much to do.
Not now, I’m too angry.
Not now, I’m too depressed.
Not now, not now, not now. If not now…when?
Time is a non-renewable resource. Once it’s gone…it’s gone forever and we can never get it back. We try and make time to do things, when in reality, it’s impossible to make time. We can only find time. And all to often, we end up losing time instead of finding it.
And someday, time will run out. If I’ve learned one thing in my more-than-half-century of living, it’s that life can turn on a dime…and without even a moment’s notice. Don’t let life’s unnecessary distractions keep you from the truly important things in life.
Focus. Now.
