A Garden Party Friday Find

Texture by Kim Klassen: Return at 100% hard light with some selective erasing.

Peanut’s Mama claimed the lower patio when they moved in and the garden area outside one of the lower-level bedroom windows. It is there where she planted a variety of flowers, including this hydrangea. I’ve never had one of these and think they are one of the loveliest blooms I’ve every seen. I do hope it survives.

I’m sharing this with you because Kim, at Kim Klassen Cafe, is hosting yet another photo challenge titled Friday Finds. We’re to post our “find” and the story behind it on….you guess it….Friday. In addition to Friday Finds, Jill at She Who Carries Camera is hosting the Weekend Garden Party where we can share our garden delights. This week’s theme is Independence Day Party with reds, whites and blues.

Thank you to these ladies (and a shout out to Nancy’s Tuesday Muse at A Rural Journal) for inspiring the Muse in us photo junkies! It’s through these blogosphere photo challenge “finds” where I’ve learned how to work with textures, layers and the importance of keeping an eye open to the ever-present inspiration of my world.
