Discovering some loose ends

Remember back months ago when I switched from a self-hosted blog to wordpress.com so I could simplify parts of my life? Yeah……well, I just figured out that all the links on two very important pages didn’t successfully make the move to their new home. So, I’ve spent the majority of the morning searching for the original posts and relinking them. I have to say it was sort of a nice trip down memory lane! It also made me sad that I used to be able to spend a lot of time and thought into putting together posts and images. Nowadays, it seems I do well to throw something up a couple times a week at best.

I do believe these two pages, together with their corrected links, represent some of my best work. And oh, how I miss those days. But, to have the time to devote to this type of in-depth writing would mean I probably wouldn’t have two adorable grandbabykins demanding my attention. And that is not a trade-off I’m willing to make at this point! For example, right now, Peanut is explaining to me how to talk like Stitch (from the show Lilo and Stitch). It’s adorable.

Feel free to click on the page name and peruse around to find something you like. If you run across a broken link, please let me know!

ABC-Bible style
ABC Wednesday is a weekly romp through the alphabet, and has an international following. While I’ve focused on unusual words and quotations in past rounds, I’m most fond of the posts done on biblical characters and topics. In these posts, I’ve tried to break down some difficult concepts into more manageable information, and provide character studies on popular and obscure people found between the covers of the book.

Project 64
Project 64 was a 64-week photographic journey through a box of crayons. Hosted by six ladies at Project 64: Out of the Box, it was a fun scavenger hunt every week to find the featured color.

And since I have a hard time creating posts without photos, here’s one just for fun!

You are so right, Lisa, and I would feel the same as you. This time with your grandchildren is very important because it only happens once. And besides, you can get back to writing and blogging when the time is right.

Isn’t it something to go back and reread posts in you archives from years and years ago? Every so often I will do that and instantly be transported back to that time 6-7 years ago.

Have a super weekend, my friend!

  2. So true on the little ones. My time with the little one that I shared the most time with came and went quickly. He is now entering the 4th grade next month. 🙂 Glad you found your links.

  3. Wow, that must have been frustrating relinking everything. Glad you did enjoy looking at some of the archived posts. I am approaching 1,000 posts after several years of blogging. I look back wondering if I will ever run out of stuff to say. My wife is just glad that I found a forum to blabber all of my thoughts–she is then exempt from having to listed to it. Haha.

Hug those grandbabies and enjoy summer, Lisa.

  4. so true! and I love the editing. I hear you on taking care of the babykins! It’s a full time job! I’m thinking it might be years before I have time to sit and blog again.
