Quotography: December

quotography-December 72

I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.

“We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September.”

I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.
~Oliver Herford, I Heard a Bird Sing

And when they’re not singing, they’re eating….and eating…..and eating some more. It’s a wonder their little mouths can sing at all since they are hardly ever empty.

HA! Same here, Lisa! Perhaps it’s what Carol said, it might be “chub-up” time for winter warmth.

TERRIFIC photograph. What a great capture!

    Enjoy your day, my friend!

  2. Such a fun picture and thought. I love how the birds sit on the fences with their feathers all fluffed up to stay warm. The sparrows are so chattery all through the warm months but in the dark days of winter they seem to be much quieter. I love how the snow is falling on your beach picture 🙂 I hope all is well.
