Thinking about Christmas in July?

July quotography72

But here I am in July, and why am I thinking about Christmas pudding?
Probably because we always pine for what we do not have.
The winter seems cozy and romantic in the hell of summer,
but hot beaches and sunlight are what we yearn for all winter.

Here we are in July; smack in the middle of summer. It’s hot here in the middle of land-locked Missouri….with the heat index some days in the triple digits. It was the same during our recent trip to Florida to see The Golfer. But somehow, it never seems quite as miserable when one is at the beach! Funny how that works, isn’t it?

Ha! Yes, Lisa, you are absolutely right!

Fabulous photograph of the beach! Love the saying as well. As I’m sure you already know, I’m more of a Fall and Winter person. Spring is lovely, however Summer (especially right now with the excessive heat and humidity) is not my favorite season. And I know I’m in the vast minority about that 🙂

Stay cool and have a terrific week, my friend!

  2. Lisa, That is such a beautiful shot of the beach with the cloud reflection in the wet sand. I also love your beach blog header. Heat is definitely more acceptable at the beach. We are landlocked, too. And it is hot. The quote is so true. We have short memories and it often seems like we want something different than what we currently have, instead of enjoying it. A little bit of fall weather would be welcomed 🙂
