Monday Spark

Last week we had temps in the single digits and wind chill warnings for -20F. In one week’s time, it’s almost 50F and last night there were a few tornado watches because of the storms. This evening it’s suppose to rain again, and change to snow overnight. Crazy weather!

This roller coaster weather can cause physical and mental stress….which can lead to short tempers and impatience. And, we all know what happens when we’re short tempered. Kindness and patience fly right out the window! I know this because my shoulders are already locked up this morning and my 3-year-old grand girl is seriously testing my patience.

So let’s all try and remember that kindness is like snow (except warmer). It can make everything is covers all sparkly! I know my grand girl would appreciate that from her Nana today!

And, you must admit, my blue bird is sorta cute too. 🙂

Blog hopping today with Annie’s Sparks at McGuffy’s Reader and Sandee’s Awww Monday at Comedy Plus.

  1. Lisa, that blue bird is so CUTE! Awesome capture!! And being a snow-lover, I also loved the quote! 🙂

The weather here has been crazy as well. Today it felt like Spring, however, tomorrow and throughout the week it goes back to cold — not complaining mind you, because I love it cold.

And you’re right, it’s important to remember kindness and patience during times of stress and challenges.

Thanks so much for the reminder, my friend!

    And have a super week!

  2. Agree, this weather has been up and down ever since Fall. We had the same…frigid and now today 60. It almost echoes of the 1978 blizzard type weather before that hit so I’m praying not. But, I’m looking on the plus side and I’ll take the this week of not frigid and the next promises the same for us in Ohio. Great spark you share. I do love a good white snow when it covers the blah of the rain and mud. 🙂

  3. Love your bluebird, but think he’d be so much happier without the snow. I try to be kind and patient – some days that works better than others. The good thing is on the difficult days I can just stay home and not inflict myself on others.

  4. Great quote! Is that your photo? Amazing! And thanks for the kind word on my blog. That blue tint to my image of a snow covered was a happy accident. I hope you’re having a better day.
