For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction.

Happy Tuesday over at Comedy Plus is an opportunity to post anything we want as long as it makes us happy. Hopefully, even if you initially thought the title of this post was a downer, you end with a smile on your face and a nod of your head.
Nature is in a constant state of destruction. As we enter into another seasonal shift, it’s apparent life cycles are changing. Growth is painful. Just ask a butterfly how it felt changing from a caterpillar to its winged wonder alter ego.
Nature has the best analogies. Every seed, to reach its full potential, must endure being torn apart and destroyed. The dandelion puff must release its seedling to the destruction of nature in order to achieve full potential. Chaos always precedes transformation and change.
Are we any different?
Lessons are learned when our shells crack and our insides come out. Life beats us down and destroys our dreams. Many people see this as a sign of failure. But chaos can be a tool for rebirth. Upheaval is necessary to open us up to our greatest potential.
Our greatest transformations are rarely comfortable. Most of the time they are born out of some type of destruction, struggle and challenge. We should embrace this positive destruction in our lives and view it as a test of perseverance and tenacity. When life seems to be spinning out of control, acting chaotic is not the answer to the chaos.
Solutions and ideas come from a still soul. They come from a higher power, but we need to quiet our anxieties so we can hear them. What looks like chaos in our lives is most likely God’s way of transforming us and helping us realize and achieve the potential we’ve always had deep inside ourselves. Potential we were designed for from the beginning.
We should not fear cracking open. We should not fear what looks like total destruction. We are seeds being broken apart in order to become something more beautiful. Trust in the One who is guiding the process and be open to how we’re being transformed because of it.
Blog hopping today with Sandee’s Happy Tuesday.
“Chaos always precedes transformation and change.” I’m hoping this is where our world is now, and that the transformation will be for the better.

If change is in the wind politically, there will be many people who don’t see it as being for the better. The only transformations we can truly benefit from is the one within ourselves. xoxo

Perhaps a cloud of tolerance could sweep across the planet.

So very true, and yet not easy to remember when in the midst of the storm that is causing the breaking.

Lisa, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post! You expressed yourself SO exquisitely! As I was reading this, I kept say…”Yes!”…”Yes!”…”Yes!”
“But chaos can be a tool for rebirth. Upheaval is necessary to open us up to our greatest potential.”
YES!
I have always believed that in order for my life to come together, it needs to fall apart first. And I learned this first-hand in the many experiences I’ve had in which my life completely fell apart, only to reinvent itself into something that ended up not only being better than I could have imagined, but also taught me some very valuable lessons.
In order to gain control, we very often have to experience loss of control. Powerlessness=Power.
Thanks so much for sharing this, my friend! LOVED it! 🙂

I’m tired of feeling broken open… I’d like to feel like the butterfly flying for a long time now… a rest from growth
