Happy Friday! Bridget here and, well, this is a bit embarrassing. Unbeknownst to me, it seems I’ve developed a bladder infection. And, it became apparent in more than a few unacceptable areas.

So, now I’m quarantined in the laundry room until my antibiotics kick in and I’m allowed back into polite society.
Honestly, I had no idea. Mom noticed a “funny smell” in one of the downstairs bedrooms where I like to hang out. Then, there was evidence something unfortunate happened on Cabo’s bed….completely accidental, of course. Then there was a small puddle on the kitchen floor. The last straw evidently was when she found me on the downstairs couch in a large wet spot.
So to the kitty doctor we went for a urinalysis. Let’s just say it was not a pleasant experience. And, mom asked to have some additional blood work done to check on my kidneys since she’s been concerned about them for a few years and it seems I’ve lost three pounds. Geesh, can’t a girl diet without everyone freaking out?

Now I’m on a little pill twice a day and I have to say, I do feel better. Unfortunately, taking the pill is not my favorite part since I refuse to eat it regardless of how well Mom tried to disguise it. So, she uses something called a “pill shooter” to get it down my throat. Yuck. But she did buy some yummy treats so I’ll tolerate her force feeding me the pills because I get three treats afterwards!
I hope I’m able to come out of the laundry room soon. I know Cabo misses me because he shoves his big, fat nose into the door and pops it open every time Mom is in the room with me.
We’re linking up with Feline Friday over at Comedy Plus. It’s Friday the 13th, so everyone be careful out there!
Bladder infections are awful. I have them often. Horrible and there are accidents.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Feline Friday and weekend. ♥

Bridget, I am sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. At least you were kind of enough not to pee on your mom like my Angel Lucy did when she had a bladder infection. XO

Oh, dear, how i hate bladder infections — get well soon! And asparagus, our one cat that was prone to infections, i would give him canned asparagus mushed up with the water from the can and he loved it and didn’t get infections any more.
