I’d all but given up on my hostas this summer. Regardless of how much I watered them, the heat fried the leaves and curled them into fetal positions. But, I’ve noticed the plants are refusing to go out without a fight. A few new whorls of leaves and buds are coming up now that the dog days of August have said goodbye.
Not many, but enough to lift my spirits and want to hang on to summer just a little longer.
They flower at last. Love your quote Lisa.

From what I read and heard, yours was a miserable summer, so it has to be especially uplifting when finally the hosta shoots up some buds!

Such a strange year it has been weather-wise.
Our hosta bloomed early, and then got fried during the heat wave.
It looks like the leaves may be starting to come back.
I am glad yours are going to bloom for you.
They sure are pretty!
I hope you are having a wonderful week, my friend.
xo.
