Sparks: Light Bright

The darkness around us might somewhat light up
if we would first practice using the light we have
on the place we are.
~Henry S. Haskins

Last week, Entrepreneur and I took the grand girls to Branson, Missouri. While we were there, we visited……now don’t laugh….Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. Definitely an Odditorium. In one of the rooms was a giant Light Bright, and the girls loved it!

When they started playing with the pegs, I thought it would be perfect for Annie’s Sparks. When I saw this quote, I knew they both needed to be paired with each other to reinforce Annie’s Sparks philosophy…which is very simple.

The negative energy of the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dare, negative storm. There is an obvious, universal need for more positive energy and peace. And, we can be a part of this affirmative change.

I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. There is hope. Together, we can light up the entire world!

  1. You are absolutely right, Lisa, this is perfect for Annie’s Spark! And I had to smile when I saw your photo collage because when I was a kid (in the late 60’s) Light Bright was a very popular must-have toy. In fact, I got a Light Bright for Christmas one year!

  2. Oh, Lisa, this is definitely perfect for this Spark!!
This is such a great photograph, and I think I would love that museum.
I remember when LiteBrite was one of the hottest things out there for kids (and adults too!!).

Happy day to you, my friend.

  3. What an awesome photo of the girls, and a great positive quote. When the daughter was young, her and I visited Gatlinburg and she wanted to visit Ripley’s. Then years later, we as a family went to Gatlinburg along with her baby boy, and of course, again she wanted to visit Ripley’s. That time she just took the grandson, and I didn’t go. Odditorium; great word. 🙂 Glad you and Entre got to get out and about. My hubby has COPD, and walking isn’t great for him so at the time, he just kind of hibernated at the condo, but finally did get him to go to the Aquarium because you could just stand on the moving floor so that helped. He had never been to Gatlinburg or up to the mountain look out, but I had a couple of times so he like that when we drove up.
